Privacy should be part of the tool, not a footnote.
This page describes the current Me Meme beta flow: what is uploaded, which provider processes it, what Me Meme stores, and how temporary results are cleaned up. The policy must be updated if the provider, storage, analytics, or account flow changes.
Images and generated results
When you submit a meme, your selected JPG, PNG, or WEBP image is uploaded from your browser to Me Meme's server. The server validates the file, forwards it to APIMart together with the selected template image and your optional caption, and creates an image-generation task.
Me Meme's meme-generation database stores task metadata and the temporary provider result URL. It does not store the original uploaded image bytes in that database. A successful result is intended to be available for 24 hours by default; the cleanup job then removes the stored result URL from Me Meme's database. Provider-side storage and deletion are controlled by APIMart's current policies, not solely by Me Meme. Read the current APIMart Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before uploading an image.
Training and third parties
Me Meme does not use uploaded images to train its own models. APIMart's current Terms state that it does not use user data to train AI models and shares data only as needed to provide its AI services; APIMart's own policy governs that provider relationship. Me Meme may also load DataFast analytics on every page. Optional Google Analytics, Plausible, AdSense, and customer-support scripts are loaded only when configured by the site operator.
Me Meme's product analytics events are limited to actions such as tool views, template selection, generation status, downloads, and sharing. The event payload does not include the uploaded image, image filename, caption text, or a user identity.
Cookies and browser storage
To associate a generation with the same visitor and enforce the beta limit, Me Meme sets a signed, HTTP-only meme_visitor cookie for up to 30 days. The browser may also keep the last task ID and coarse return-visit measurement in local storage so the result can be recovered and product usage can be measured. The uploaded image itself is not written to local storage.
Face and likeness
Only upload photos you have the right to use. Do not use the tool to impersonate, harass, or target someone. Do not upload sensitive images or images of minors without appropriate permission.
Contact
The current Contact page still identifies its support addresses as placeholders. A verified privacy-request mailbox must be configured before this beta is presented as a fully operational public service. Until then, do not upload sensitive images or images you cannot replace.
